Finding a Balance

Something I struggle with more than almost anything else is how much money to invest in our current home. I mean, we love our current home - it is plenty big enough right now, located in a fantastic subdivision for raising young kids, and has a pretty good layout. I could see us staying here for another 5 years or so, depending on how many kids we have in that time frame. If we do stay here for five years, I want to make sure that those five years are enjoyable and that the space fully reflects our family.

New Dream Home Layout

I've had this post on my mind for a few weeks now since I posted this image onto my 'Dream Home' Pinterest pin board, but I haven't really had time to put it together until now. Blogging has definitely taken the back seat to all of life's other adventures for the past few weeks (maybe even months! Yikes...). I'm hoping that after the next week or two I'll have more time to devote to getting our house in order and get back on the blogging train. I feel like I say that a lot though - so who knows.

Host + Hostess

This weekend my husband and I had the honor of serving as my good friend's host + hostess for her beautiful wedding. It was definitely a long day between set-up and tear-down, but I was so glad we got to be a part of the festivities and help her celebrate such a big event.

Getting Out of a Decorating Rut

I have been in a rut lately, that's why there's been such a lack of posting. Instead of focusing on decorating, my mind has been on fall fashion + filling up my closet with new clothes. The change of seasons always gets me excited. I successfully purchased a handful of pieces to {hopefully!} tide myself over until Christmas comes around and there are new outfits waiting for me under the tree [wishful thinking :)]. Now I'm thinking back to decor + planning decorations for the upcoming holidays.
